Yes, she called me a name. One I haven’t heard in a long time.

“One of the original madmen of Madison avenue.”

This was an unusual project for me. I haven’t designed book covers for a while. Catalogs and brochures, but not many book covers. And, using digital illustration as well. It was a bit of a challenge and a lot of fun.

The idea was to illustrate two people communicating through thought only. To make it a little more unusual was to have the woman being able to read the man’s mind. Below are a few stages we went through to get to the final.

I had to read my client’s mind in order to duplicate what image she had in her mind that she wanted me to illustrate.
