Project Description
WHY I LOVE WHAT I DO.
I believe each of us sees the world in a different way and what truly makes it interesting is to glance thru each other’s unique looking glass.
I have been lucky enough to create a habit of stopping along the way to admire environments, people, and how they unite in an aesthetic or nonaesthetic manner.
Living in New York City and Los Angeles gave me a perspective of people’s individual style and their interactions with city living. In New York, most of the time I walked through as many neighborhoods as possible and watched their traditions play out across the City in so many ways – in restaurants, cafes, and small businesses. In Los Angeles, I was confined to my car most of the time and although traveling the freeways took me to some beautiful areas, personal contact was much harder.
Trying to hold on to my creative side has been difficult at times, but it emerges as inspiration from a beautiful environment such as the Dominican Republic where it is very difficult to not want to photograph everything and everyone around me. So…sometimes I do.
