Was this image generated with Artificial Intelligence?
It could be a toss up. Why? Well, I could’ve asked Chat GPT to generate the image or I could’ve found it on a stock image service or I could’ve photographed it myself. I’ll tell at the end of this post.
With all the hoopla that’s ablaze on Wall Street about various tech companies jumping as fast as they can to get into the accending appeal and profits of AI, it’s no wonder there are so many usages for the function being offered just about everywhere you look.
Even Apple has come up with their own name for AI – APPLE INTELLIGENCE. They are touting it as a revolutionary function on their new iPhone 16. The problem is the Wall Street “know it alls” expected something truly new and original from the tech giant and feel it isn’t there…yet.
This is the first Home screen you see when visiting apple.com.
The question here I’m posing is AI going to make your life better? How? As a part of the Baby Boomer generation and the last generation that knew what life was like before the Internet, I can tell you productivity has excellerated at warp speed (sorry Captain Kirk) and doesn’t show any signs of slowing.
Personally, I find it invigorating being able to explore so many new forms of creativity. Now, of course there is misuse of this technology and we “older” folks get sucked into misinformation faster than other generations.
What Do Teachers Think Of AI For Their Students?
According to an article in Forbes:
More than half of the teachers who responded to Forbes Advisor’s survey said they believe AI has had a positive effect on the teaching and learning process. Less than 1 in 5 cited a negative effect.
60% of Educators Use AI in Their Classrooms
AI tools for teacher and student support are growing in popularity. Forbes survey found that younger teachers are more likely to adopt these tools, with respondents under 26 reporting the highest usage rates.
Are Small Businesses Using AI And Does It Help Them?
The US Chamber of Commerce has dived deep into checking out whether AI can improve small business expansion and general business operations. Here’s an excerpt:
Running a small business is no small feat. Every day, small business owners wear multiple hats: the visionary, the accountant, the marketer, and the customer whisperer, among others. And the fruit of this toil does not go unnoticed. These seemingly modest enterprises are creating jobs, driving economic growth, and empowering the communities they serve.
While innovation and ingenuity are essential to entrepreneurship, the emergence of artificial intelligence (AI) offers enormous promise to such endeavors.
According to our report, Empowering Small Business: The Impact of Technology on U.S. Small Business, almost one in four small businesses have adopted AI, citing improved performance in marketing and communications.
AI systems can not only enhance efficiency, save time, and improve decision-making across business operations, but they can also optimize resources, personalize customer experiences, and provide valuable insights on market trends.
Does AI Help The General Population?
AI enhances decision-making by leveraging vast data to identify patterns and trends often invisible to humans. Machine learning algorithms can analyze historical data and predict future outcomes, allowing businesses and individuals to make informed decisions quickly and accurately.
The bottom line is there are so many aspects and usages of AI, much like the functionality itself. There are endless possibilties for AI. The creativity of this new system of thinking and production can improve itself endlessly.
Here’s an excerpt from the IMF Blog. An Eye opener.
AI Will Transform the Global Economy. Let’s Make Sure It Benefits Humanity.
AI will affect almost 40 percent of jobs around the world, replacing some and complementing others. We need a careful balance of policies to tap its potential.
We are on the brink of a technological revolution that could jumpstart productivity, boost global growth and raise incomes around the world. Yet it could also replace jobs and deepen inequality.
The rapid advance of artificial intelligence has captivated the world, causing both excitement and alarm, and raising important questions about its potential impact on the global economy. The net effect is difficult to foresee, as AI will ripple through economies in complex ways. What we can say with some confidence is that we will need to come up with a set of policies to safely leverage the vast potential of AI for the benefit of humanity.
From the looks of this research, we’re in for more changes all around from education to industry and everything in between. I hope you enjoy the ride.
BTW, the main top imgage was created in Chat GPT.
Let me know what you think the future holds for you and AI. And, contact me if I can help you with any marketing with or without AI.
